Season of Yeats
We welcome you to Tread Softly…, a festival bringing the story of two of Sligo’s greatest sons to life with 19 days of Music, Theatre, Exhibitions and the Spoken Word. We sincerely hope you, both visitor and resident, will find events and activities to brighten up your summer and make your Sligo experience all the more enjoyable.
Tread Softly…is part of Yeats Festival Season, supported by Fáilte Ireland, which starts on June 13th, the poet’s birthday and the inaugural Yeats Day. The Season of Yeats continues right through the Cairde Festival in July to reach its finale in August with the Yeats International Summer School and the Tread Softly… festival.

Tread Softly - Yeats Vintage Day
Sligo is turning back the clock on August 3rd to host a very special Yeats Vintage Day all in an effort to raise much-needed funds for a fantastic cause. With vintage cars and carriages, and prizes for best dressed man and woman, this will be a great day so don’t miss your opportunity to dress up in the Edwardian style costume of the 20’s, step back in time and have a load of fun along the way.

Costumes are also available to hire from mauraflogue@gmail.com, Mobile no. 085-2243306
